Fern & Fable is a micro-bookshop located in downtown Rising Sun owned by sisters, Kristin and Jessica. We share a multi-business space in the same building as Garden Girl – the upstairs shops include us as well as Orchard Hill Plant Co. and Belle’s Acres. Fern & Fable carries book new and used books for all ages, bookish accessories and gifts, and unique curiosities. We are brand new! We purchased a previously existing business called The Potted Page, completely redid the space to make it on-brand, and had our soft opening at the end of May. We’ve just been open to the public for a little over 2 weeks now. We plan to implement some really cool programs once we get our footing including Shelf Share Days for book donations, Fern & Fable Society as our monthly or quarterly book club, and more. We’re passionate not only about books and learning, but the importance of bookstores as community hubs. We are really excited to have our shop and be part of an amazing small business community – in the community that we’ve chosen to call home for many, many years now!
